Brook Trout
We prefer flyfishing when guiding for Brook Trout but if you are uncomfortable using a fly rod you can use spinning rods. Typically we use streamer flies and other wet flies early in the season and switch to dry flies when the insect hatches are on in May. Most imitations are of stone, may and caddis flies. Commonly caught size ranges of Brook Trout are from 7 to 13 inches with the average being 10 inches and the largest you can expect to get will be 16 inches in length. The creel limit is 5 and we practise a lot of catch & release.
